New ARRL Indiana Section Manager

The new ARRL Indiana Section Manager will be Brent Walls, N9BA, of Indianapolis. Brent will take office on July 1, 2016.

He is currently one of the Marion County ARES Staff Coordinators and is a Marion County RACES member.

Brent previously served as Indiana’s Section Emergency Coordinator and as Marion County ARES Emergency Coordinator. Brent has also served on the Board of the Indianapolis Repeater Association for several years.

He will serve as the Indiana ARRL Section Manager well.

Brent enjoys Radio Direction Finding as well.

Silent Key: Bruce Swenson N9BOO

Bruce Swenson, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away May 23, 2016. Bruce was born in Canton, Illinois, on April 26, 1947 to the late, Russell V. and Helen (Cavanaugh) Swenson. He retired from Navistar in 2009, after 44 years of service. He later went on to work for Eli Lily. He was a Commander of the V.F.W. Post #261, and member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, skiing, and motorcycles.
